Looser Portrait
Another sketch, this time working on being a bit looser. I really like this style, although I wish I would have spent more time on my sketch before painting this one. The jaw on the right side is far too low, and the distance between the mouth and chin is too long. I do like how the eyes came out, though. I think I’m going to try several more portraits in this style to see if I can user fewer brush strokes and fiddle less with the paint before it dries. I’m also going to spend several hours painting nothing but noses since I definitely struggle with them.
