Disclosure

I love art and am passionate about this blog. However, this site is time-consuming to run so I do monetize it with advertising and occasional affiliate links. In the interest of full disclosure, here’s what you need to know:

  • I am not paid to do reviews on any products contained within this website.
  • SomeCallMeBeth.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
  • Sometimes I link to products from within my articles. For example, if I am writing a book review, I may link to the book on Amazon.com or another website. If you click on the link and decide to purchase the book (or any other product that I link to), I may receive a small commission. Rest assured, however, that these small commissions in no way influence my reviews or determine which products I decide to feature. My main objective with this blog is to build a loyal readership. The only way to accomplish that is by being honest with you, the reader, and providing you with accurate, reliable reviews and information. If I use a product and think it could be beneficial to my readers, I will recommend it. If not, I won’t…period.
  • In addition to occasional affiliate links, I also earn money from Google or Amazon ads that run on this site. I don’t control the content of those ads and don’t endorse any products, websites or services that are advertised through them.

Thanks so much for reading this! If you have any questions about the relationship between myself and any of the manufacturers, products or advertisements featured on this site, please feel free to contact me and I will be happy to answer them.

  1. That’s a well-worded and informative disclosure. Thanks for the info. I started my career as an editorial cartoonist several years ago and now I’m working with watercolor to illustrate some children’s books I’ve written. I’ve already found the info in your posts very helpful. I also ordered one of the Loomis books you recommended. Thanks for all the help you’re offering your readers!

    1. Thanks Nathan! To be honest, this one was of the hardest pages on my site to write! haha

That’s so exciting that you’ve started in on some children’s books. The illustrations in the books that I read as a child are a large part of why I love art so much today. Even though it has been decades since I last read any of those books, I can still picture many of the illustrations clearly in my mind today. I’m sure your books will bring a lot of joy to kids, too! 🙂

That’s great that you ordered one of the Loomis books. The illustrations in the books are a little outdated in terms of their style, but the techniques and information are invaluable. I hope you enjoy learning from him as much as I have.

Thanks so much for taking the time to comment and good luck with your books! Beth
