Outdoor Art at the Museum of Glass in Tacoma

Beth

If you are looking for a fun, free activity in Tacoma you should check out some of the outdoor art at the Museum of Glass. The whole area surrounding the museum is peppered with art, including a glass-filled reflecting pond, countless Chihuly glass sculptures, and the Crystal Towers, two 40-foot tall sculptures that rise up from the Bridge of Glass. The unique architecture of the museum itself and the neighboring Thea Foss Waterway are also well worth viewing. If you want to see the art inside the museum you can either pay for admission, or visit on the third Thursday of each month when the museum offers free admission from 5:00-8:00 PM. The Museum of Glass is located at 1801 Dock Street in Tacoma. Below are a few pictures that I took there the last time I visited. Have fun if you decide to go! 🙂
