Hiding

I recently wrote a post about getting some new Micron pens. Here’s a link so you can check it out: Micron Pens with Watercolors

This illustration is my first attempt at using them. So far I love them! They are super crisp and clean and don’t smudge at all when you paint over them. I also really love that they come in different thicknesses so you can get a lot of different kinds of lines.

The super thin 005 nib is probably my favorite, just because I like doodling in lots of little details. All of the pens I was using before were too fat to really get in to some of the smaller spaces. This pen is super thin, though, and makes it easy to make really fine lines.

Here’s the original sketch before it was painted:

I’m excited to keep using these pens to see what I can come up with!
